Academy Owner/Coach - Rob Zimmerman
With over 30 years of soccer experience, Rob has developed an appreciation and enthusiasm for the game that radiates to his students. Rob was a collegiate soccer player at Otterbein College, located in Columbus, OH. Rob continues to participate in extracurricular soccer activities. Rob is also an active volunteer soccer coach in the community.
Recently, Rob operated learning centers for children. Rob's intimate involvement with the learning centers has contributed to his strong knowledge and understanding of the fundamental principles necessary to motivating kids to learn. Rob firmly believes that, given basic skills, a child can gain confidence, which in turn encourages a child to learn additional skills.
Rob, and his wife Shannon, have three children, Olivia (April, 2003), Owen (April, 2005) and Anna (March, 2008).
Coach - Katie Holm
Katie has been playing soccer for almost 20 years. She began her soccer career in the Philadelphia, PA area where she played for a number of different premier teams. Through high school Katie excelled at the sport and recieved honors such as being named all county. She continued to play soccer in college at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY where she also recieved her Bachelor of Science.
Through the years, Katie has volunteered her time to coach young children and share her love and enthusiasm for the game.
Coach - Aven Purcell
Aven grew up in Northern Michigan where she started her soccer career at an early age. With 20 years of experience, she played for several premiere leagues including ODP and received All-Conference and All-City awards throughout her years in High School.
Aven continued her soccer career at Eastern Michigan University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation. She has been active in the social, emotional, physical and cognitive rehabilitation of children through sports and several other recreation activities. Aven is very excited to see so many kids choosing to play soccer and is looking forward to being a part of Locker Soccer Academy.
Coach- Jeff Mixon
Coach- Charles Kirby
He moved back to Northeastern Pennsylvania and worked at a private college for 4 years and was involved in teaching basketball camps and floor hockey classes. He met his wife, Kallie, in PA, was married in MI, then moved to KY in a little over a year.
He now attends Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY where he is hoping to earn his Masters of Divinity in Christian Ministry.
