We know it can be hard to find places and opportunities to develop as a higher level player throughout the winter in Ohio. Fields can be snow covered, temperatures are cold, schedules are tighter, and there are less gameplay opportunities. In an effort to address this need for players aged 6 and up in Powell and Gahanna, we have a few extra Skill Development classes, and host 3v3 games on Friday evenings!
Skill Development Classes
For winter session 3, From January 6th, 2018 – March 16th, 2018, in Powell and Gahanna we have added a host of new skill development classes for ages 6-9 in co-ed, girls, and boys classes, to best match the needs of all athletes. Skill development classes are designed to meet the needs of the more serious, committed player. We will focus very heavily on individual skills, small group tactics, and speed of play. These classes are not for beginner players, but provide a productive outlet for those who want a competitive environment that will facilitate the development of ball skills and the growth in confidence in real game situations.
3v3 games are small sided games that provide a fun, competitive, opportunity for lots of touches, chances, and learning experiences in every game. 3v3 is intended for children ages 7 and up. Teams are made up of 4-5 players that are selected by the kids. These games provide a great way for players to gain confidence and game-specific skills! 3v3 games take place on Friday evenings in a five-week and ten-week block, November 10th – December 15th (closed for Thanksgiving on Nov 24th) & January 5th – March 9th.
